The Sustainability Hub
Formed in January 2022, the Sustainability Hub brings people together in fun, imaginative ways to engage with the climate crisis and improve our day-to-day impact on the environment.
Tackling the climate crisis together
The Sustainability Hub was formed in January 2022 as a direct response to the ongoing climate crisis. Affiliated with Sheddit!, it aims to bring people together in a fun way to engage with environmental challenges and seeks imaginative ways to improve our collective impact on the environment in day-to-day life.
One of its core values is that all events should be free and as inclusive as possible. We believe that sustainability shouldn’t be a privilege — it should be accessible to everyone in the community, whatever their background or circumstances.
From Repair Cafés that keep items out of landfill, to wildflower sowing days that help restore biodiversity, every event is designed to make a tangible, positive difference — and to be genuinely enjoyable while doing it.

All events, always
Our events
Repair Café
Bring your broken belongings and our volunteer repairers will help you fix them. Electrical items, clothing, furniture, bikes — if it’s broken, bring it along.
Wildflower Sowing Day
Help restore biodiversity in South Cambridgeshire by sowing wildflower seeds together. A hands-on, outdoor event for all the family.
Sustainability Fair
A community gathering celebrating sustainable living — featuring local makers, swap stalls, talks, and activities for all ages.

What we stand for
Always free
Every event we run is free to attend. Sustainability should be accessible to everyone, not just those who can afford it, but donations are always welcome to help with expenses.
Radically inclusive
All ages, all backgrounds, all abilities. We design events that work for the whole community.
Fun first
We tackle serious topics with energy and creativity. Environmental action doesn’t have to be worthy and dull.
Tangible impact
Every event makes a measurable difference — items repaired, seeds sown, conversations started, habits changed.
