Borrow more.
Buy less.
Why buy something you’ll only use twice? Borrow tools, equipment and everyday gear from the community — free or for a small fee.
Sheddit’s most ambitious project yet
Today’s consumer-driven society means many of us resort to ordering whatever we need from the likes of Amazon, use it once, and shove it in a drawer never to be seen again. Borrowing and sharing items instead of buying them is an easy way to reduce waste, cut carbon emissions and lessen the environmental impact of manufacturing new products.
Lenddit is a mobile community shed being built on the back of a caravan chassis that was destined for the scrapyard. It’s designed to be a fully equipped, off-grid, mobile workshop — so that people who find it difficult to travel to Sheddit’s main workshop can still access a community shed experience.
It doubles as a Library of Things: instead of buying seldom-used items and storing them at home, you can borrow them from Lenddit for a fraction of the cost — and save yourself valuable space in the process.
